LOOK: MMDA Releases Map of MMFF Parade 2022 Route on December 21
The annual Metro Manila Film Festival will formally kick off with a parade on December 21, 2022, with Quezon City as the host of the event.
A month before the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF), the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) released the parade route of the event happening on December 21, 2022, in Quezon City, which will host this year’s event.
According to the announcement, the parade will then start at Welcome Rotonda-Quezon Avenue and will end at the Quezon Memorial Circle. The vent is expected to start at 2 pm.
According to the officials, they are expecting the parade to at least last 2-3 hours.
“Staging area for the floats of 8 official entries and Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) will be along E. Rodriguez to D. Tuazon. The agency’s traffic enforcers will assist on the sidelines of the parade route for crowd control,” the MMDA announced.
Eight films including two family films lead this year’s festival. They are Family Matters, My Father, Myself, Deleter, Mamasapano, Nanahimik ang Gabi, Partners in Crime, Labyu with an Accent, and My Teacher by TEN17P.
Annual Event
Aside from the traffic route, the MMFF 2022 has also released all 8 movie posters of the participating films.
The Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) is an annual event that gives way to the showing of Filipino films for two weeks starting December 25. This year, the festival also makes a return face-to-face after restrictions bought on by the pandemic.
For this year’s theme, the MMFF goes “Balik Saya.” The awards night is scheduled on December 27 at the New Frontier Theater in Cubao, Quezon City.
The MMFF will run from December 25 to January 8, 2023.
