Traveling with the Parenting Essentials: When Parents’ Choice Awards and Travelhood Come Together

To honor the brands that have helped parents on their journeys, Modern Parenting, together with Travelhood, co-presented the Parents’ Choice Awards 2025.

Every parent has their go-to essentials, but some truly stand out. Celebrated on August 16, 2025, Modern Parenting and Travelhood PH co-presented the launch of the first-ever print version of the Parents’ Choice Awards—featuring magazine cover personality Ria Atayde-Marudo, who graced the event and shared insights from her parenting journey. Held at The Fifth at Rockwell Powerplant, the awards brought together moms and brands to celebrate the many parenting wins they’ve achieved together.

A Celebration of Every Parent’s Journey

Every parent has that one parenting discovery they can’t stop recommending—the baby carrier that saves aching arms, the feeding hack that cuts mealtime battles in half, or the toy that somehow keeps a toddler entertained for more than five minutes. From newborn essentials to clever everyday finds, these little parenting “secrets” help parents look like they’ve got it “all figured out.”

Modern Parenting kicked off the celebration with an awarding ceremony recognizing those who stood out. With over 75 brands certified by parents and Modern Parenting’s meticulous Mom Council, the event welcomed brand executives, founders, and representatives, giving them a chance to meet the moms who love and use their products or services.

Smitten Events made sure the event was styled to everyone’s comfort. And to commemorate the event, NicePrint photography took pictures of the guests at the photo wall.

Moms also enjoyed a bit of shopping, exploring booths featuring Xiaomi, Shark Ninja, and Tiny Buds and discovering appliances designed to make home life easier.

But the event wasn’t just about shopping. Talks on travel and parenting were hosted by Travelhood moms Chal Chang Lontoc del Rosario, Czarina Ledesma-Cabuñag, and Claud Baron Paulino, alongside Modern Parenting’s editor-in-chief Marga Tupaz. Attendees enjoyed refreshing coffee from Poco Brew, wine from Hearts & Vines, and delicious offerings from Vito’s BBQ and the Corner Pantry while listening in.

For those bitten by the wanderlust bug, a passport to the Travelhood Luxe fair offered awesome freebies. And for thrill-seekers, Travelhood held an auction for vacation stays and travel essentials, perfect for moms planning their next getaway.

Of course, no Modern Parenting event is complete without a raffle. Moms had a chance to win prizes from Dear Doer, Hearts & Vines, UV Care, Browhaus, Samsonite, Philippine Airlines, and Ateiler 818 Jewelry!

Philippine Airlines was honored by Travelhood for being one of their long-time partners. In return, PAL generously raffled off a round-trip ticket for 2 to a destination of their choice to one lucky Modern Parenting guest.

And the best part? Moms went home with a copy of the Parents’ Choice Awards issue and generous giveaways from Pond’s, Vaseline, Belo Essentials, Bioten, Celeteque, Anko, VPharma, Aveeno Baby, Tiny Buds wipes, and Xiaomi.
