It’s never too late to go back to school and Cesar Montano’s graduation with a Master’s Degree is proof of that!

There’s an adage that goes, “It’s never too late to learn.” Celebrity dad Cesar Montano proves that by graduating with a Master’s Degree in Public Safety from Philippine Public Safety College. He even won the best policy paper award: Arts as an Instrument of Drug Rehabilitation: A Policy Recommendation last July 6, 2023.

“Congrats to all my classmates in MASTER IN PUBLIC SAFETY ADMINISTRATION (MPSA)! Mabuhay ang HAPSAY CLASS 2022-24!” he writes.

How does a Master’s Degree work in the Philippines?

A Master’s Degree is usually optional and it’s for those who wish to specialize. Some courses such as Psychology and Business are the most popular post-graduate courses, opening the possibility of work in the academe. Many of those who graduate with a Master’s Degree usually become professors, having the abbreviation “M.A.” at the end of their name, standing for “Master in the Arts.”

Unlike traditional undergraduate studies, Master’s Degree programs rarely have an age limit on their enrollees. Parents who wish to challenge their minds once again can take Master’s Degrees. And if they’re lacking the units, some colleges offer cross-enrollment to get the required units to proceed to take their Master’s.

According to PEP, Cesar Montano had started out as a scholar at Philippine Public Safety College, taking classes during the pandemic. “I want to inspire people by showing them that there is no substitute for education,” he shared during his interview with the news station.

Never too late to learn!

Many say that “an old dog can’t learn new tricks.” But that doesn’t always apply to people! People and their families are always trying to find new ways to grow and make life better. Whether it’s just for their family or for the entire country, it’s still worth noting parents’ efforts to return to school and learn. When the world places more premium on information and trends, learning new ways is the only way parents can assure their children don’t fall behind.

Cesar Montano also graduated from Lyceum College with an undergraduate course in BA Communications.
