Pokémon TV Returns To YouTube
Dear millennial parents and their kids, Pokémon TV will now be streaming on YouTube
It looks like the Pokémon TV will be streaming its animated series on YouTube! While the channel will contain the full episodes from the past seasons, we’re not sure if the old movies such as Mewtwo Strikes Back and the others will be streamed as well. But if our kids are now in what the older generation parents call their “pokémon phase,” then now’s the time to start watching.
Unfortunately, it’s not available in the Philippines, currently streaming in Australia, UK, Canada, and US. But that’s nothing a VPN can’t fix though!

The Return of Pokémon as a Franchise
What started out as only 151 creatures has now expanded to a whopping 1025 with new versions and regions opening up as 10-year-old Ash Ketchum continues adventuring throughout the Pokémon world.
Pokémon, let’s face it, played a big role in our lives. The yellow electric mouse, Pikachu, was almost every kid’s dream pet. That is, until they started introducing the other pokémon. And despite them fighting and battling in competition, the whole lore or world of Pokémon still emphasized on ethical care for these creatures which eventually served as a basis for many of us who became furparents. Their version of a veterinarian was the Pokécenter which was headed by Nurse Joy and her companion, a nurse-specie pokémon Chansey. The real world counterparts? Doctors do have their animal companions too, particularly psychologists and counselors who practice pet therapy!
Besides, Ash himself was inspiring. A 10-year-old setting off to become the greatest in the world and eventually becoming world champion as he learns about every pokémon in different regions? That’s relatable to almost any kid and it sends a message: don’t be afraid to dream big!
Pokémon TV: Once A Phase, Now A Classic
Sure, Pokémon may not be as elegant looking as most classics but there lies its appeal — it’s an adventure and a somewhat encouragement for kids to learn about animals. Some furparents even admitted that their love for animals may have spawned from being an old Pokémon fan!
But the return of Pokémon is almost timely as parents find themselves frustrated with the effect of modern-day cartoons like CocoMelon and Peppa Pig have on their kids and learning about their inner child. With the classics making a comeback towards the end of 2024, it seems 2025 will be a year filled with opportunities to connect.
