Typically, when one thinks about Batangas, images of beach resorts and island hopping spring to mind. However, in the municipality of Alitagtag, you’ll find a haven that will bring your fantasies of the Gardens of Versailles and French chateaus to life: Sefriya Farm and Orchard.

As you approach the driveway, you’ll be astounded by the meticulous landscaping, which will make you feel as if you’ve stepped into the European countryside. The intention of the owners to honor and highlight nature’s splendor is perhaps the most striking aspect of the entire property. Local flowers and shrubs are flourishing everywhere you look.

That’s why the Sefriya Farm and Orchard is such a famous spot for glamorous events like weddings, runway shows, and photo shoots for engaged couples. The roughly three-hectare grounds provide ample space for a wide range of events—from small gatherings to grand banquets.

The Gazebo

The first of these would be the gazebo, which would be ideal for intimate events due to its French-style wrought iron roof and beautiful chandelier. During the day, you can gaze down at the flower farm and enjoy the afternoon breeze. When it gets dark and the lights come on, this gazebo looks like something out of a movie, standing out against the starry night sky.

The Grand Pavilion

The second event location, and most likely the one you will see the most on social media, is their Grand Pavilion. When transformed for events such as debutant balls and wedding receptions, this three-story chateau-style building with its Machuca tiles, huge French windows and doors, and rustic chandeliers adorning the ceiling is absolutely whimsical.

Guests can make use of the dressing rooms. Meanwhile, the garden’s rooftop is turfed and overlooks the entirety of the gardens for the ultimate Instagram photo op. If the pavilion is too small for family events, Sefriya also offers its sprawling open gardens. These are just as beautiful as any of the other sites on the property for larger celebrations.

The Chapel

The chapel is the last but not least beautiful venue for an event at Sefriya Farm and Orchard. While we’re not sure if you can have a full-fledged wedding here, it’s the ideal setting for a photo shoot.

Sefriya is constantly growing. And they are currently bulldozing an orchard in order to plant and grow beautiful flowers as well as fresh produce, with the goal of becoming self-sufficient and providing guests with a farm-to-table experience. Something we’re all excited about!

A hotel where families can rest and relax

Sefriya is a hotel as well as a venue for special events. Down the path from the pavilion is a charming bed and breakfast with fewer than 20 rooms. There are only two room types available: deluxe and standard. All of them welcome pets!

Deluxe rooms have a queen bed and modern rattan furniture and fixtures. These rooms are on the second floor of the building and have small balconies with views of the green areas. Superior rooms, which have two double beds and a more boho chic vibe while still incorporating some rattan touches, are the second type of room they offer. These rooms are on the first floor. They have their own small patio area where guests can enjoy their morning coffee or do some work.

All room rates include breakfast for two people. Sefriya does not yet have a formal restaurant because it only opened a few months ago. But they do have an in-house chef who can prepare a la carte meals for you and your families and friends.

Day beds and seating areas under old mango trees are scattered throughout the property for guests to lounge in and enjoy at any time of day. These shaded areas are ideal for reading, having a drink, or simply napping. Sefriya is all about disconnecting from city life and reconnecting with nature, loved ones, and yourself.

Fun activities with the whole family

At any time of the day, Sefriya can set up a number of fun activities for you and your party to enjoy. Rent a bike and get about the farm grounds more quickly than on foot. The open gardens are perfect for a game of croquet (in costume, if you want) and a recreation of your favorite Bridgerton scene.

On certain days, the gazebo hosts a pottery workshop for those who aren’t afraid to get their hands dirty while expressing their inner artist. Take a break from the action and relax in the farm’s enormous pool, which features a small area for children, a deeper area for adults, and a lap pool for those who wish to get a little workout in while on vacation.

Aside from the glitz and glamour of Sefriya’s events, there is a more meaningful and impactful reason for opening their doors to the public. The oneness they seek is concerned not only with environmental issues but also with social ones.

Sefriya Farm and Orchard gives back to the community

The people of Alitagtag have warmly welcomed Sefriya Farm and Orchard. And as a way of giving back to the community, they provide employment to members of the community and give those employees opportunities for leadership and growth and impart with them skills they can use long after they leave Sefriya.

The dreams of promising students come true through the scholarship program of Sefriya, too. They donate and channel 30% of all profits towards a fund for a high-quality education to the deserving students in the community.
