See the celebrity parents who graduated in 2024 and those who went back to school.

It’s back to school for many students; including celebrity parents who wished to graduate. Meanwhile, after months and years of hard work, others finally fulfilled their dream of getting a diploma.

We rounded up those who finished school and those who returned to finally get their diploma and continue to learn.

Actress and singer Geneva Cruz enrolled this year in the distance learning program at a university in Manila.

 “I strongly believe in setting a positive example for my children, which drives me to dedicate time to pursuing my educational goals,” she said last month, citing her daughter London as one of the reasons for her reason to go back.

“I live to grow because there’s no age or judgment in personal growth as long as you keep pushing forward to finish what you start. Go after your goals—there’s no such thing as being too late!”

Bogart, real name Marco Antonio Ho also returned to school this year after stopping his degree years back. He enrolled at Caraga State University to take up BS Agroforestry.

“I once spent six years at UP Diliman as a scholar, chasing a degree in Industrial Engineering. But life had other plans, and I left before crossing that finish line. Today, I’m an undergrad studying BS Agroforestry at Caraga State University, with a new purpose: to build a sustainable future for my community,” he shared on August 16.

“Age is just a number, and learning is a lifelong journey. If you’re holding back because you think it’s too late, I’m here to tell you it’s not. Don’t let fear keep you from your dreams. Whether you’re 20 or pushing 50, the best time to learn and grow is now.”

It was a triple celebration for actress and politician Lani Mercado-Revilla. Not only did she graduate with her Master’s Degree in Sustainable Leadership and Governance at De La Salle Dasmarinas, but her sons Bryan and Jolo also graduated with her in the same course.

Jhong Hilario

It’s Showtime co-host Jhong Hilario added another achievement to his list when he got his Master’s diploma from World Citi Colleges last August 29 at the PICC Plenary Hall.

In his interview with ABS-CBN, Jhong said: ” “Yung mga sacrifices, ‘yung minsan busy’ng busy, and siyempre hindi naman biro ang masteral din. Plus ‘yung mga ginagawa pa natin bilang konsehal at artista rin, ang sa akin lang hangga’t nandiyan, hanggang may opportunity go lang nang go.”

Jhong serves as a councilor in Makati.  Last year, he graduated from Arellano University, earning his bachelor’s degree.

Arlene Muhlach

Arlene Muhlach, who hails from the famous Muhlach clan joined the class of 2024, confirming she finished her undergraduate degree from the Philippine Women’s University.

In her post, Arlene thanked her classmates and teachers for their encouragement. She also thanked her family and actress Ruffa Gutierrez, who she credited for encouraging her to return to school.

These celebrities prove that learning never stops and we can’t wait to see who will finish in 2025!
