LOOK: Maricel Laxa’s Eldest Child Ella Pangilinan Marries Enrique Miranda
Ella Pangilinan, the daughter of Maricel Laxa and Anthony Pangilinan, married her longtime love Enrique Miranda in an elegant wedding.
It was a heartwarming moment for Maricel Laxa and Anthony Pangilinan as their eldest daughter Ella walked down the aisle last December 6 to marry her longtime love, Enrique Miranda. Dressed in a reworked terno that designer Rajo Laurel brought to life, Ella looked glowing in her wedding photos.
“I’ve always wanted to wear a terno on my wedding day. It epitomizes our rich Filipino heritage. I was deeply honored when my mom offered me her wedding dress to use (which was my ‘something old but beautiful nonetheless!), by National Artist Jose Pitoy Moreno,” Ella shared of her wedding dress.
“We brought it to @rajolaurel, who lovingly went into full restoration mode and metamorphosed the dress. We were in tears when we saw the finished piece,” she added.
Ella also shared a photo as her dad waited to escort her to the aisle. “I will never forget this moment. I love you, daddy.”

A Grateful Heart
Before Ella’s wedding, Maricel shared a post from the despedida for her eldest child, where she thanked Enrique’s family for accepting her daughter and their family.
“I rejoice in the coming together of our families through the bond shared by our children,” Maricel wrote. “Words are not enough to describe the joy of seeing two people in love overflow to everyone around them as they include us in what they share in love, respect, and devotion to the Lord.”
“Since Ella was born, I have prayed for her future spouse. I have also prayed for her to be the right person for the one the Lord prepared for her,” she added.
Anthony meanwhile shared some moments himself a week after his daughter’s wedding.
“Imagine seeing your daughter walk the aisle having chosen… The same pastor as her mom and dad had in their wedding. The same gown by National Artist Pitoy Moreno worn by her mom [was] re-styled and re-created by @mommymaricel classmate @rajolaurel,” he wrote.
“The same (just extended) music [was] written and performed by the dad’s classmate @garyvalenciano exclusively for Anthony and Maricel’s wedding 30 years ago. Sino namang di bibigay sa ganun?!”
Aside from Ella, Anthony and Maricel also have four other kids—Hannah, Benjamin, Donny, and Solana.
