Sylvia Sanchez Celebrates Gela Atayde’s First Beat: “My Gelatin Loves To Dance”
Sylvia Sanchez beams with pride for her daughter, Gela Atayde, as she shines on stage for World of Dance Philippines.
When our kids have a passion for something, we want to support them in any way we can. Whether it’s to train with them or be their cheerleader, every parent has their way of supporting their children. And for celebrity mom Sylvia Sanchez’s case, she celebrates Gela’s “first beat as an artist” with a short Instagram reel. “Even as a child, my Gelatin loves to dance — she just jumps into pure joy while grooving to the sounds of Justin Bieber until she competed with her dance group in Poveda and all the way to Florida,” she beams with pride.
When the heart is happy, it finds a song to dance to.
We always have those moments when we’re so happy that we can’t do anything but dance, sing, or do both. That joyful groove gets infectious as Sylvia adds while recording Gela’s debut with her best friend, AC Bonifacio in their new team, Legit Status. “I’m rallying and praying for her success,” Sylvia adds. “I am proud to be at the front seat!”
It’s a new tune not just for Arjo who’s getting married to Maine but also for Gela as she steps into the limelight. “Like her Brother Arjo, Gela is dancing to a new tune as she enters an exciting phase in her life — this is the first beat of her journey as an artist,” the celebrity mom declares.
Congratulations on your debut, Gela!
While it’s scary for some moms to see their kids go on stage and under the limelight because we don’t know what to do, sometimes, the best thing we can do is to be there. Nobody ever forgets their debut into a sport or scene they truly love and for Gela, she will never forget what it was like to dance her first beat as an artist. It’s a memory that both she and Sylvia can share together especially when she goes pro.
Gela Atayde was also Poveda Dance Varsity Captain in 2019 of the troupe, Enciende.
