These 2025 Films Are Already On Every Family’s List To Watch
Check out the line-up of movies families are talking about and looking forward to watching in cinemas!
It’s only February, but the month is already filled with so many films families are looking forward to. Captain America: Brave New World opens a new chapter in the Marvel Universe, while Renee Zellweger returns as Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy. Two Filipino films, Paquil and Ex Ex Lovers, will also open.
These movies are not the only ones everyone is looking forward to watching. Studios have geared up for the next line-up of films until the end of 2025. Here are some of the films that have posted trailers and announcements. We will be updating this list as they drop trailers.
Movies of 2025
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
The live-action film starring Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot was announced last year. A trailer shows that the first Disney princess is not a damsel in distress. Of course, the seven dwarfs and “Heigh Ho” remain part of the storyline. But what makes this interesting is that it will introduce a new song.
Walt Disney first released Snow White in 1937, making it one of the classic stories in its catalog. It paved the way for more animated films in its Disney Princess line, which includes Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, The Little Mermaid, and Beauty and the Beast.
The film is scheduled for a March 21, 2025, release.
Lilo and Stitch
Our fave little blue creature is coming alive in May! The film was first teased in November, showing Stitch walking over a sandcastle at the beach. While it will likely have the same storyline as the cartoon, it will be one of the films everyone from the 2000s will look forward to, now that some of them are parents and watch with their kids.
On February 10, a 30 second Super Bowl spotter was released, showing Stitch running and creating chaos at a football field.
How To Train Your Dragon
Toothless is back as a live-animated movie set for release on June 13. While there has been a lot of discussion on the first movie deviating from the book, we cannot highlight enough the popularity of dragons. More than friendship, it tackles the importance of trust and the relationship between a child and family.
Like Lilo and Stitch, a game spot trailer was released for the film in time for the Super Bowl.
Superman
A new Superman is set to hit the screen on July 11, 2025, as David Corenswet takes on the role of the Man of Steel. While a full trailer has yet to drop, the teaser gave us a glimpse of Superman’s adventure, including Krypto’s appearance and relationship with Lois Lane.
Superman has transcended many generations, and we admit that David has big shoes to fill in after Henry Cavill.
Fantastic Four: First Steps
Marvel’s first family is set to hit cinemas on July 25, 2025, with Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach taking on the roles. The teaser has already given a glimpse of Galactus, and we’re expecting more when a full trailer drops.
Jurassic World: Rebirth
For those who have grown up with the Jurassic Park series, chances are they will ll be taking their kids to watch Rebirth. Scarlett Johansson and Jonathan Bailey take us back into the world of dinosaurs after Dominion. The movie is scheduled for a July 2 release in the US.
Like other films coming in the Summer of 2025 in the US, a game spot was dropped during the Super Bowl on Monday, February 10.
Smurfs
The little blue humanoids have been on screen since the late 50s and became part of American pop culture. In Smurfs, Rihanna voices Smurfette. The village is in chaos as Papa Smurf is kidnapped, and its up to them to rescue him from two evil wizards.
A Minecraft Movie
The famous game your kids play these days is hitting the big screen. Jack Black and Jason Momoa lead the cast of the film as they find themselves in the Minecraft world. The film is scheduled for release in April.
