Bianca Gonzalez Shares Tips While In Isolation After ‘Graduating’ from COVID-19
The TV host shared five tips she did while she and her family isolated.
Isolating from people close to you can be difficult and Pinoy Big Brother host Bianca Gonzalez Intal knows this well. On Tuesday, January 18, Bianca shared to her followers that she and her family have “graduated” after experiencing symptoms from COVID-19.
“Spent the last few days in isolation like many of you who are isolating too,” she wrote. “It hit our home as well, and thankfully, everyone hit had mild symptoms, and we have all ‘graduated’ and are healthy and well.”
“To anyone who is isolating now with mild symptoms or is asymptomatic, if you’re feeling a bit restless or anxious, I feel yoooou.”
While in isolation, Bianca did the following to keep her spirits up.
Have a routine
Bianca admitted feeling lost during the first two days of isolation.
” Grateful that I could still work and I am very lucky to be isolating in my WFH room. But from being used to thinking about a hundred things at once, biglang I just had to think about myself,” she said. “Di naman kailangan todo schedule, but some sort of routine or flow to your day that will help you feel like you have control of something, in the middle of everything beyond our control, helps.”
Get a lot of sleep
Bianca could not emphasize enough the importance of rest.
“‘Enough’ sleep is different for everyone, but try as much as you can to sleep straight at night,” she said. “Too much sleep can make you feel heavy, too little sleep won’t help you get the energy you need to recover.”
Get some vitamin D
Having some sun in the morning can help, Bianca said.
” Get some sun, if you can. Outside your door, by the window, if you have access to it, getting morning sun and that natural Vitamin D is so good for you,” she said.
Get in touch with friends
In Bianca’s case, the isolation allowed her to reconnect with her “batchmates”.
“It was oddly comforting to be messaging with friends who were also isolating. Makes you feel like you are in it together,” she said.
Learn something new
The isolation period sparks moments where one can learn a new skill or do something beyond his or her comfort zone.
“Try/learn/do something different or new, yung talagang unrelated to your work,” Bianca said. “Anything that can give you a different point of view that can help get your mind off worrying and more into this new thing you’re figuring out.”
Keep fighting…
COVID-19 has forced a lot of us to be separated from the people we love, but it makes us stronger and better. Again, practice the health protocols and if you can, only go out when necessary. We will definitely be better people when this is all over.
