Iya Villania And Drew Arellano Introduce Daughter Anya
Anya is the couple’s fifth child, who arrived on February 11
The Villania-Arellano is now a family of seven. On Tuesday, February 11, Drew Arellano announced the arrival of Anya Love Villania-Arellano, his fifth child with actress and 24 Oras showbiz anchor Iya Villania.
“Anya Love Villania-Arellano. February 11, 2025. 10:52am,” the caption read.
Several of their friends congratulated the couple’s new bundle of joy. Anya’s arrival makes her the youngest among their four children: Primo, Leon, Alana, and Astro.
In love with Anya
After the announcement, Drew shared a reel of Iya carrying Anya, who was clad in a pink swaddle.
On Instagram stories, Iya shared details hours before Anya’s arrival. She wrote that she was experiencing contractions but that it might be a false alarm.
Hours after the post, Iya wrote that they got to the hospital at 10 am and that Anya finally arrived at 10:52 am.
In another post, four hours after the birth, Iya said she could finally relax after the delivery. ” The relief of being done with delivery is indescribable. Thank you, Lord!”
Another post showed Iya cradling Anya, saying that she’s cherishing the moment.
Raising a growing family
Iya and Drew have shared in numerous posts about raising their kids. In an interview with Modern Parenting in 2023, Iya recalled her adjustments when Leon arrived after having Primo.
I couldn’t come to think of how I could love another child the same way. That was my guilty feeling when I had Leon. As in umiiyak ako sa hospital before going home, because I didn’t know if I was ready to bring this child home because I missed and loved Primo so much,” she said.
“I think mentally and emotionally, it is harder when you have a second child. But physically, strategically, and logistically—it’s harder to adjust from two to three. Because outnumbered na yung magulang. But after Leon, parang okay na. You really just become more relaxed when you have more kids.”
The couple announced the pregnancy last September.
