These kids from showbiz personalities and clans have come out of the shadow of their parents, proving that they have space in the industry
They’ve been called a lot of names – privileged, nepo-baby, but one thing is for sure: they’ve proven themselves in showbiz. They are the kids in demand, whose names are called by screaming fans and gushed by many.
The family names are familiar. But more than the name, they’ve proven to people they can stand. Expectations have been thrown at them, and they’ve answered. We round up eight showbiz kids who were in the headlines for their work, and we will likely see them again in 2025. Plus we’re throwing one name that will be familiar very soon.
Michelle Marquez Dee
Beauty queen and actress Michelle Marquez Dee, daughter of Melanie Marquez, has carved her path since relinquishing her Miss Universe Philippines crown. Early this year, she appeared with Miss Universe 1st runner-up 2023 Antonia Porsild in Mega. She also continued to model and signed up with One Management in New York, She has also been a fixture in fashion shows, and went to Paris as a guest in Vogue Philippines’ Threads.
But more than the showbiz career she carved, Michelle continues to speak for the causes close to her heart. The prize she won from Miss Universe’s Voice For Change has been donated to the Autism Society of the Philippines, the organization she has championed because of her two brothers’ condition.

Janine Gutierrez
Mega December cover girl Janine Gutierrez’s career continues to rise. This year, Janine has been busy with many endorsements and representing the Philippines in the international circuit with the film Phantosmia in Japan and Italy.
Janine also made her return on screen, starring as Iris in Lavender Fields opposite Jodi Sta Maria and Jericho Rosales. She is also finishing a documentary on the life of her grandmother Pilita Corrales alongside the producers of Sunday Beauty Queen.

Donny Pangilinan
Donny Pangilinan doesn’t need any introduction, having been on every crush’s radar and publication. This year, Donny starred alongside Belle Mariano in Can’t Buy Me Love, produced his film Good Game, and returns with Belle once more in How To Spot A Red Flag. On top of that, Donny has done several endorsements including chips, eyewear, and a bank. We will definitely be seeing the son of Maricel Laxa and Anthony Pangilinan for years to come.

Kaila Estrada
Kaila Estrada has been on everyone’s radar since she emerged in memorable roles in Linlang and Viral Scandal. This year was no exemption for Kaila. Aside from her modeling stints, Janice de Belen and John Estrada’s daughter got everyone talking with her role as Bettina in Can’t Buy Me Love. In 2025, Kaila makes her return on television in Incognito as Max Alvero, an action show starring Daniel Padilla, Richard Gutierrez, and Ian Veneracion.

Jayda Avanzado
Jayda Avanzado inherited the vocal chops of her parents Dingdong Avanzado and Jessa Zaragoza. Since being launched in Teen Clash in 2023, Jayda has focused on her music, releasing several singles. She released her album Sad Girl Hours, showcasing her songwriting skills.
Jayda has also paid homage to her mom, Jessa, proving her mom has a huge influence by replicating her cover albums during Halloween and a cover of the smash hit “Bakit Pa?” She also was part of her parents’ concerts in the US and Dingdong’s concert.

Atasha and Andres Muhlach
Atasha Muhlach entered showbiz last year when she joined Eat Bulaga. This year, she is joined by her twin brother Andres, for their first TV project with parents Aga Muhlach and Charlene Gonzalez in Da Pers Family.
The twins also have their endorsements, including a fast food chain and a clothing brand.

Sarina Hilario
Sarina Hilario has caught the eye of many online since she was introduced by her dad Jhong Hilario, to the public. She has her social media pages run by Jhong her mom Maia. One of this year’s highlights for Sarina was meeting BINI, who was drawn to her immediately when they met her.

Watching out in 2025
Robbie Jaworski
Robbie Jaworski signed up this year with Star Magic, and he’s already creating some buzz. With parents Mikee Cojuangco and Pasig Vice Mayor Dodot Jaworski supporting him in his entry to showbiz, all eyes will be on him in 2025.
